In 1997 Index Information announced the development of the
Connect- an AT motherboard that would fit into a standard PC case.
It was expected to retail at around £600 to £700. The
intention was to supply it to dealers allowing them to produce
their own custom built Amiga. At the time the feature list was:
- A4000 compatible
- CPU slot for '040 or '060 processors
- 2MB Chip RAM
- Up to 128MB of Fast RAM
- 4x Zorro III slots,
- 4x ISA slots,
- 1 Amiga video slot,
- 4x IDE device support
- CD-ROM audio input and mixer.
