HiQ Alpha System

HiQ's first step towards porting the AmigaOS to is to sell a range of Alpha-based systems to existing and past Amiga users. Their first system, announced in March 1998, consists of an:

  • Alpha 21164 CPU, running at 533MHz.
  • Samsung 21164LX motherboard.
  • 64Mb DRAM.
  • Seven bay tower case.
  • Diamond FireGL 1000 graphics card with 8Mb onboard RAM.
  • 2.1Gb UDMA hard drive
  • 24x CD-ROM drive
  • 16-bit sound card
  • Keyboard
  • HD floppy drive
  • Mouse
