PowerPlay Arcade #2
After the disappointment that the Power Play #1 had failed to be
released it came as a surprise when Amiga announced the release of
a second and third cartridge in the Power Play series. The second
cartridge improved on the first's already impressive number by
fitting five games onto a single cartridge. Of the five games, only
Scavenger Hunt was written by Amiga. The other four; Eggomania,
Gopher, Word Zapper, and Galleon's Gold had been previously sold by
U.S. Games. These were aimed at the younger market.
Although a release date of March 1984 was announced, the
financial difficulties in developing the Lorraine prototype forced
the company to seek funds from Atari, that had come under the hands
of Jack Tramiel. This resulted in the game never being
released.
