Seehund boycott ANN

In response to the various Amiga/Microsoft boycotts that were being announced, an Amiga user using the handle 'Seehund' wrote a boycott parody.

Unmoderated] Seehund boycotts ANN
Posted on 18-Mar-2002 06:02 GMT by Seehund

Seehund recently discovered that ANN is viewable with Microsoft products.
Gothenburg, March 18 2002.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Seehund has discovered that the digital content called ANN (Amiga Network News) is usable with products made by the Microsoft Corporation.
Seehund unearthed these horrible findings as he typed the text "ann.lu" into the MS product Internet Explorer. "I was shocked and disgusted when I saw that ANN displayed just as if I had been using an Amiga browser! I consider this a treason against everything we Amigans stand for", Seehund said.
Seehund has conducted further investigations and has come to the conclusion that ANN uses a technology called HTML, which apparently is spread all over the Internet. Seehund continues: "This is totally unacceptable. In fact, I am not going to visit any Amiga news sites at all until they do their publishing exclusively in the perfectly fine AmigaGuide format."
Seehund also noticed that such great and legendary sources of Amiga knowledge as "OverShaker" (www.nowee.org) are running Microsoft Frontpage extensions on their web server.
Furthermore, Seehund recommends all Amiga users to remove and destroy any peripherals, expansions and accessories that can be used with Microsoft products from their computers. "I hooked up my monitor to a PC (ack! spit!) and was horrified to see that it actually displayed anything the PC dared to throw at it. And your harddrives! Can you even begin to imagine the vast potential of storing the evils of Microsoft that these suckers have? I'll also throw out my Amiga 4000, now that I noticed that the SIMM modules in it can be used with some computers capable of running Microsoft operating systems. No, it's gonna be A500 all the way now, baby!", Seehund continued.
These new Seehund policies has gained momentum in the Amiga community, after it was discovered that the Amiga Incorporated product "Amiga Anywhere" will, in fact, run almost anywhere.
