What advantages does Workbench 3.1 have over the standard 3.0 ROM?

Workbench 3.1 was the last official Commodore upgrade for the Amiga before they went into liquidation. Since then AmigaOS has been allowed to "grow wild" with a stream of PD patches replacing every part of the operating system. Although at first there is little difference between the two, AmigaOS3.1 offers a stream of improvements in comparison to AmigaOS 3.0. Apart from aethetic changes it provides very basic CD-ROM support and adds an Animation class to the datatypes system. It is most useful for people wishing to upgrade their systems, such as A2000 or graphic card owners. Potential AmigaOS 3.5 owners should also be aware that they will need the Kickstart 3.1 ROM to use the latest version of the OS.
