Series Zero
Developer: Amiga Inc.& contractors
Launch: August 2001
Platform: Amiga DE |
For the first time in 18 years several new games are to be sold that bear
the Amiga brand name. Although similar to the ski simulator 'Surf's
Up' or the maze-based 'Off Your Rocker'
and Classic Amiga games, the current selection are designed for a multitude
of PDA devices (such as the Sharp PDA)
rather than a specific console/computer.They can also be played on the
Amiga
DE Player and Amiga SDK.
The first selection, titled 'Series Zero', have been chosen to appeal
to Japanese gamers, providing mind-based games such as an Arkanoid and
Solitaire clones. To strengthen their ties with Amiga developers and turn
the market into a deliverable product that they can sell to others, Amiga
Inc. have utilised the skill base of existing Amiga developers and users'.
A second pack, currently called 'Series One' is expected to provide a selection
of arcade-style games for the US market.
The Series Zero pack consists of the following games:
