I have a 2x SCSI CD-ROM in a custom case that I bought from an
Amiga supplier. Can I upgrade the drive by replacing it with a
faster unit such as a 20x or do I have to buy abandon this and buy
a new drive?
As long as the drive is SCSI compatible to connect to your SCSI
interface inside the CD-ROM unit you should be able to use one.
Just replace the old drive with the new one, checking all jumper
settings for SCSI ID and termination settings.
