phase 5
"....it is time for a radical leap forwards in technology that needs to be
born by a vision of a computer for the next millennium."
Wolf Dietrich, Managing Director of Phase 5.

While the likes of Viscorp, Quikpak, and Gateway fought over the Amiga name, Phase 5 were quietly developing a true successor to the Amiga, and a clean break away from the past. The company had already made waves in the Amiga industry with a range of accelerators, and were the first to incorporate the PowerPC into the Amiga architecture. For a brief time they attempted to move the market towards their next generation A/BOX system. After years of development the company filed for liquidation proceedings in January 2000.
